SITA

The SITA Company, a part of the SUEZ Environnement Group, was founded in France in 1919.

The main aims of the SUEZ Environnement Company are co-operation and implementation of projects and services for a wide range of customers. SITA is one of the SUEZ Environnement Group companies in the waste management with worldwide field of activity. SITA operates in more than thirty countries on four continents (Europe, South and North America, and Asia).

The main business activities cover the complete range of activities in the waste management (collecting, sorting and recycling, composting, combustion, disposal, industrial maintenance and cleaning of towns, hazardous wastes, sanitation of ecological loads). SITA is the owner of 251 waste dumps, 58 waste incineration plants, 112 composting centres with the annual turnover of over € 5 billion.

The SUEZ Environnement Group entered the waste management in the Czech Republic in 1996 and after the acquisition of more than 25 companies it has been working here as SITA.

One of the most important companies which operate in the Czech Republic in waste treatment is the waste management division of the SUEZ Environnement Group - SITA (Societe Industrielle De Transports Automobiles). The SITA Company was founded in France in 1919. In 2000 it entered the Czech market and nowadays it belongs to the most important and boom businesses in waste management.

The SITA Company in the Czech Republic employs more than 700 people, operates up-to-date waste treatment technologies, such as waste incineration plants, waste dumps, a termic desorption unit, alternative fuel production technologies, facilities for light sources disposal, technology for cooling systems disposal, composting centres, biodegradation areas, solidification facilities, neutralization stations, deemulgation stations, as well as the special vehicles for disposal and transport of all sorts of waste.
